Born right here in the heart of Senate District 14, Republican Josie Tomkow is a 7th-generation Floridian and 3rd-generation cattle rancher with deep roots and a family legacy that extends across the entire Tampa Bay region, from their market in Hillsborough County several decades ago to their current cattle operation that spans the pastures of our great state.
Josie Tomkow is a State Representative in the Florida House of Representatives, currently serving as Chair of the Health & Human Services Committee. During her time in the State House, Josie has worked alongside conservative champions like Governor Ron DeSantis and President Donald Trump to deliver conservative victories that have made Florida a beacon of freedom, prosperity, and opportunity.
She previously chaired both the Pre-K–12 Appropriations Subcommittee and the Agriculture & Natural Resources Subcommittee, where she championed policies supporting Florida families, students, and the state’s agricultural legacy.
Prior to her election, she gained extensive experience in public policy and agricultural advocacy, working in Washington, D.C. for the Florida Farm Bureau; in Tallahassee for the Florida Cattlemen’s Association; and in Texas for Superior Livestock.
Josie remains committed to strengthening opportunities for Florida’s families, growing the state’s economy, making Florida more affordable for every generation and protecting its agriculture and natural resources for the generations to come.
